What is ADHD Coaching?
Let's start with what ADHD and Executive Functioning is.
Losing track of time, perfectionism, procrastination, memory issues, difficulty getting started on a task, organization, or emotional regulation.

As your coach, I will work with you to identify your unique combination of symptoms and patterns, and find solutions that are right for you. I like my sessions to have a relaxed and thoughtful atmosphere that promotes progress over perfection.

Session Objectives:
* Family and friends mean well. But having space and time to process and reflect in an environment of safety, trust, and non-judgement so that you find your own answers, is what coaching is all about.
* I will ask powerful, and sometimes challenging questions, and offer my observations to help you explore your thoughts and patterns that might be getting in the way of your goals.
* Our sessions will always be about what is important to you. You set the agenda, pace, and outcome.

Areas of ADHD & Executive Coaching:
* Life
From career and finances to health and wellness, find the ADHD strategies specific to YOUR needs. What is important to you? Run a 5K, organize the garage? Go back to school, start a career? Eat healthier, join a book club? Save for college, save for the trip of a lifetime? Let's make it happen!

* Education - Middle School & Highschool
Learn how to deal with overwhelm, time management, & organization. We'll build extra support around getting homework done and in on time, strategies to break down assignments into manageable steps, and learn time management skills to put it all together.

* College Prep
College is NOT like high school. The extra demands on time and countless social activities can make the transition into college overwhelming. Where & how to do laundry? How does the meal plan work? Who do I go to with medical needs or fill prescriptions? How do I advocate for myself with professors? With up to 40% of ADHD students failing their first semester, this is not a time to wait and see what happens. Together we'll make an education plan, take steps to foster emotional well-being and identify what thriving looks like for you!

Together we'll dig in and find the best solutions and strategies for you to be successful!
Meet Tonya
When my daughter was diagnosed with ADHD I was shocked. Her behavior did not look like what I thought ADHD should look like. Shortly thereafter, another daughter and myself would be diagnosed with ADHD as well.
What was this?
How do I help my children as well as myself?
Where do I find help?

As I started doing research I came to realize:
* ADHD has a profound effect on Executive Functioning and Self-Regulation that impacts several areas of life.

* ADHD symptoms are not due to laziness, lack of willpower, character flaws, or bad parenting.

* ADHD awareness and understanding can help heal an individual, strengthen relationships, and bring balance to life's pursuits.

I am on a mission to spread this information:
* So people with ADHD have an understanding of how their neurodiversity shows up in their life.

* To help find skills and strategies to manage symptoms to facilitate confidently leaning into the future they want.
